do u think its okay to stay single? because God made man and woman for each other...
but technically Jesus was single...so how does that work out?
It's absolutely OK to stay single, if the reason for doing so is to serve the Lord and not just to date different people for the rest of your life. Paul speaks about the advantages of remaining single in I Corinthians chapter 7.
However, while singleness may be a good way to serve the Lord, it is something most people are not cut out for. Paul himself says it is better to marry than to be single and consumed with desire for a relationship all the time.
So if a person is serious about giving their life to God's work AND does not have strong desires to be married, then singleness is a good choice. For those of us who do not meet that second condition, it is right and healthy to seek marriage and starting a family.
In other words both singleness and marriage are good things, so long as they are done for God's glory and according to His Word.
